Problems of Philosophy (Bentley, Spring 2022)

This course considers our mortality and its philosophical implications. Does mortal life have any meaning? Is it a good thing to bring someone into existence? Is it a bad thing to die? What would immortality be like? How should we think about the extinction of a species, including the human species?
