I am a therapist and academic philosopher, based in Cambridge, MA. I am a clinician at the CEDAR Clinic, a specialty clinic focused on the detection and prevention of psychosis risk symptoms. I also teach regularly at Bentley University and Lesley University.
My book Options and Agency was published by Palgrave Macmillan in October 2022. This book develops a foundational account of agency and possibility, which yields a new perspective on the traditional problem of free will. I am currently at work on a book on addiction, under contract with Routledge. This book develops a theory of addiction as a kind of disability, and addresses a range of issues in moral psychology, bioethics, and public policy.
I also write a blog for Psychology Today on Philosophy and Therapy. And I occasionally host The Anomalous Mind, a podcast about topics in mental health.
I welcome questions and feedback. Contact me here.
